FOUNDATIONAL ISSUES IN MARRIAGE: SPOILT BRAT 6
In the last edition of the Singles’ World, I discussed temper as one of the behavioural traits of a spoilt brat. It is usually a foundational issue which often makes marriage challenging. You have an unpredictable and irascible partner who will always constitute a nuisance in the home. They are easily irritable, and they flare up at the slightly provocation.
Unfortunately, it has now become a dangerous habit that may be difficult to overcome. You will have to be careful in making such a person your marriage partner. Just as I said before, that is one of the reasons why spousal assault is on the increase in society today. Don’t forget that foundational issues are usually difficult to handle. It is better to avoid them than to manage them. In this edition, I will discuss another feature of spoilt brats. This is to help you to avoid them as marriage partners if you want to live long. May the Lord help you to do His will in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
In addition to disobedience, naughtiness, attention-seeking, despondency, obstructiveness and temper, I will consider one other behavioural indicator of a spoilt brat:
Ingratitude: Dorothy Hamill describes a spoilt brat for us when she said “I was really a spoiled brat when I was a kid skating. Meals are cooked for you, you are driven to the rink, and they make costumes for you. Your parents sit around and watch admiringly while you skate. You don’t have to think about anything but skating. You’re just plain spoiled.” That is a spoilt brat or a juvenile delinquent. They are left unto themselves till they are spoilt irremediably.
Children generally don’t understand the importance of gratitude, and they are generally selfish. They just want everything to be theirs. If they are not taught to show gratitude when they should, they will grow up with the attitude of ingratitude. Again, there are indulgent parents who don’t care about this virtue. They will excuse this on the grounds that he is still a child. For instance, your guest or friend gives your child a gift or money; such a child should be told to thank the person immediately and the day after. If he is an African boy, he should be taught how to prostrate and show gratitude. In fact, he should be taught the appropriate words of appreciation.
Similarly, an African girl should be taught how to kneel down and thank the person politely. Indulgent parents will just thank the person on behalf of the child without ordering or teaching the child to do it. Gradually and unfortunately, the child will grow up and get married with this vice and think it is a virtue. For your information, one of the serious problems many couples are facing today is ingratitude or lack of appreciation. This can very painful, especially for women. Most men are guilty of this act of ingratitude in marriage relationships.
An adage says “An act of ingratitude is like when one is robbed.” Women too are guilty of it. When men help their wives to fetch water, to stay with ‘junior’ when she is away, to run some errands, etc., they expect their wives to thank them. When they give their wives special birthday gifts, they expect their wives to show some gratitude. Unfortunately, some wives see it as the normal thing that husbands should do for their wives. They wonder why the need for any special gratitude. For the regular cooking at home, cleaning of the house, taking care of the children etc., wives want their husbands to thank them.
Many husbands do not see any reason why they should thank them. For them, these are their responsibilities; why the need to thank their wives for doing their jobs. In fact, some spouses often forget to show gratitude to their partners until they are reminded. A French proverb says “Gratitude is the heart’s memory.” In fact, some see it as an unnecessary burden. Gratitude is not a burden. It is one of the cultural ethics that we must all embrace, and it is also Biblical. In Esther 6:11b, King Ahasuerus showed gratitude to Mordecai for revealing the plot of the enemies by honouring him with royal apparel.
In Exodus 2:20, Reuel, the priest of Midian rebuked his daughters for not showing gratitude to Moses, who had helped them to fetch water to water their flock. The priest sent for Moses to eat bread. In Luke 17, out of the ten lepers that Jesus Christ healed, only one of them came back, and with a loud voice glorified God. In Luke 17:16, the Bible says the man “fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks…” Only one out of ten, shows that there are many ingrates in the world today.
Unfortunately, that is one of the marks of these last days. In 2 Timothy 3:2, the Bible says in these perilous times, men shall be unthankful. When a child misses this very important home training, it becomes a problem for him or her in life, except there is a conscious effort to unlearn ingratitude and add gratitude as a virtue to his or her faith. Before you get there, there will be a lot of altercations at home or at work and in the church. Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Spoilt brats are ingrates because they were not taught gratitude. No matter your labour for your spouse even if you are dying, if he/she is a spoilt brat, there will be no gratitude. And that can be very painful and discouraging. Without it in the house, your partner’s love for you can die. Your employer’s labour on you may also die. That is why Cicero said “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others. When your partner lacks it, that marriage will be tempestuous. An ungrateful man or woman will hinder others from being helped. Publilius Syrus said “One ungrateful man does an injury to all who stand in need of aid.”
David said in Psalm 107:8 “Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men.” Spoilt brats don’t care about this. Gratitude is a motivating factor in life. It compels you to do more, but spoilt brats will always discourage you. When you notice ingratitude in your partner, it may not matter to you now because you are desperate in getting married, but it will surely weigh you down in future when it will be too late to do anything about it. An ingrate man or woman should be avoided. That is why Ausonius said “Nothing more detestable does the earth produce than an ungrateful man.” It is also said that “A grateful dog has more worth than an ungrateful man.”
Spoilt brats are to be avoided if you want to enjoy your marriage and have long life in good health. Ingratitude is one of their markers. Avoid them, please. According to Lagbaja, a spoilt brat cannot pound yam unless you buy her a yam pounder. She cannot grind pepper without a blender. You will need to get her a cook because she cannot cook. She will need a vacuum cleaner because she cannot sweep the floor. She will need a drycleaner because she cannot wash clothes. She will need a nanny because she cannot nurse a baby. The list is endless. Finally, Lagbaja said a spoilt brat (Akebaje) is useless. The only thing she can do is to dance; a butter dance.
Somebody said “Ungrateful bastards will always be ungrateful because that is who they are. They have been manipulating their way through life since birth and there is no escaping that. The best thing to do is to get away from such people as soon as possible…”

DANGEROUS PEOPLE TO MARRY

I am happy to welcome you to the November edition of our Singles’ World for 2022. In this edition, I will discuss with you another type of person that you must not marry. The Lord will guide you in the name of Jesus Christ.

Don’t Marry a Demon-Possessed Person 4

Life is deeper than what we can see with our physical eyes. That is why the unbelievers are curiously searching for the unknown rather than seeking God who knows the unknown. It is not everybody that you see on the street that is a human being, and it is not everybody that you see in church that is a human being. It is not everybody that you see in the market places, shopping malls and other public places that is a human being. Some demons come in human forms and mingle with human beings on earth in order to deceive them. There are many students in our higher institutions who are not complete human beings. We teach them as students, but they belong to the world of man and to the world of the spirits. This world is deep.

Don’t forget that the devil has come to steal, to kill and to destroy, and one of his greatest tools is deception. If a demon asks for your hand in marriage, you will run away fearfully. A number of mysterious things are going on in the realm of the spirit; and we need to be discerning so that we will not be deceived. There are many people out there that you call sisters but who are mermaids. They are very pretty, dazzling and seductive. It will be very difficult to turn away your eyes from beholding them if you are not very spiritual. They are half human beings and half fish. They are half human beings and half snakes. Some of these beings have the ability to turn to snakes, fish, cats and other scary animals.

Some of them come to the market on market days and when they are through with their transactions, they return to their abodes; inside the river, sea, trees or the mountains. A woman told her husband after their wedding that the husband did not know her. The husband was surprised to hear that. He insisted that he knew his wife very well. The woman yelled and told her husband that she would show him her real self. Right inside their bedroom, the wife turned to a big snake on the bed. The husband was about to shout out of fear, but the wife quickly turned to a human being back, and told him never to tell anybody what he had seen if he wanted to live. She told her husband that he had now known her. The husband knew he was married to a snake rather than to a Christian sister that he had earlier thought of. The woman was a Christian sister in church, but a snake in the realm of the spirit.

So, the marriage that was conducted was between a man and a spirit. How do you expect that man to enjoy the marriage? The man has continued to live in fear. He could not run away neither could he tell anybody for fear of being killed by his snake wife. Demons are disembodied beings; so they are looking for human bodies to inhabit and continue their malevolent activities. One of the reasons why we have so much pollution in the world today is because many marriages are built on wrong foundations. Hence, the offspring of such marriages will be polluted. What do you expect from a marriage between a human being and a demon? This may sound like a fairy tale to you, but it is real. Such people are not to be married.

How do you recognise them? They don’t really want to be recognised. That is their behavioural pattern. If you don’t know them, you may fall into their hands.

First, be born again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Live a holy and righteous life or else they will gain access into your life easily because you are a compromising believer.
Be watchful and prayerful. Pray more in tongues on daily basis to develop your spirit man. In your prayers, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal them to you. The Lord is faithful; He will reveal them to you.
Ask God to give you the gift of discerning of spirits; this will help you to discern them whenever they are around you.
Read and meditate on the Word of God regularly.

It is my prayer that you will not enter into their traps in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

You are welcome to the May edition of our Singles World for 2022. In this edition, I will be discussing the eleventh characteristic of those you should not marry. May the Lord guide and help you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Don’t Marry An Impotent Man.
Sex was created by God for the benefit of the husband and his wife. Every individual is endowed with this sexual ability to perform his or her roles adequately in a marriage relationship. To those whom marriage is given, sex is given to them as one of the benefits of marriage, without which there will be no joy, progress, procreation or fulfilment in the home. However, not everybody can perform this sexual function in the home. Some natural eunuchs are not endowed with sexual abilities. Such sterile men are not qualified for marriage. In Matthew 19:12, Jesus said, “there are some eunuchs, which were born from their mother’s womb.” They are naturally sexually impotent. Some men are made impotent through demonic attacks. Some men also acquire impotence through promiscuous living.

You cannot marry an impotent man and expect the relationship to be fruitful and be blessed with children. If your fiancé is impotent, you should quit the relationship because it will end disastrously. Impotent men know themselves although they don’t want to be publicly recognised because of the shame and the stigma attached to it. Culturally, such men are devalued and ridiculed. In the past, such impotent men were used as guides for the king’s wives in the palace. Even if the king was not around, the wives were secured because the men amounted to nothing. There are many men in our world today who are impotent; they are sexually dead and unable to copulate. Some of them still want to get married. What for?

Sex is one of the pillars that hold marriage. Its absence will cause the marriage to crash. Some of the symptoms of men with erectile dysfunction include the following:
Lack of erection at all.
Weak erection or inability to maintain an erection.
Lack of sexual arousal.
Lack of libido.
Low sex drive.
Lack of interest in sex talks although some guys can pretend so that you will not suspect them.
Pre-ejaculation
Azoospermia: (No sperm count).
When an impotent man proposes marriage to you, it is quite difficult to know whether he is impotent or not because he will not disclose this to you. In case, the man tells you that he is impotent, you should say goodbye to him. Don’t let any strange love start developing in your heart for him. If you pity him and marry him with his impotence, nobody will pity you when you begin to burn and cry every day in your house. Don’t marry him by faith. Of course, some guys may want to chase you away to ‘test’ your love by telling you that they are impotent when they are not.
Now, how will you know that your fiancé is impotent sexually without going to bed with him? Fornication is not the right way to detect an impotent man. So, don’t ever try that way.
First, you can pray sincerely and ask God to reveal the man to you? If indeed he is impotent, the Lord can show him to you.
Second, you can discuss with him his sexual, medical and psychosocial history although he may not tell you the whole truth.
Third, let him see a medical doctor for erectile dysfunction diagnosis which may include psychological and neurologic tests among others. These tests will show clinically the medical condition of your fiancé. This is more reliable than asking him directly.
Fourth, if you are very sensitive too, some of his friends may tell you jokingly or indirectly. Again, watch it; some of his friends who want to marry you can defame him by telling you that he is an impotent man in order to snatch you away from him.
Marrying an impotent man will surely be a big embarrassment to both of you. Apart from the delay in having children, you will be burning sexually at home and you may be tempted to try it elsewhere which is forbidden by God. Besides, you will not be able to tell people the reason behind your delay in childbearing. For the man, it is a secret that must be kept. But for how long? You surely cannot bear that. Some couples have remained childless till old age. Couples who could not bear for long have parted. When the ‘man’ in a man is not working, such a man is empty. He cannot talk where men are because he is not a man. That is one of the major things that women are looking for in marriage. It is an open secret.
If you are impotent or you have erectile dysfunction, see your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. Don’t get married with this disability, and don’t get engaged to any sister without disclosing your health condition to her. Generally, whether you are impotent or not, if you are in any relationship, both of you should undergo all the required medical tests including the erectile dysfunction diagnosis prescribed by an experienced medical doctor in an accredited medical laboratory. This is to guide both of you and prevent you from entering into ceaseless marital problems that are avoidable.

I welcome you again to the April edition of our Singles World for 2022. Here again, I will be discussing with you the tenth characteristic of those who are not qualified to marry. May the Lord guide and help you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Don’t Marry Someone who has an Abnormal Powerful Sexual Drive
10. Sex in a marriage relationship is one of the blessings of marriage. It is designed by God for procreation and as an expression of love between the husband and his wife. In Genesis 4:1, the Bible says “And Adam knew Eve his wife and she conceived, and bare Cain.” For the blessings of procreation to come to pass, both the husband and his wife must know each other. Sex is an act of knowing your partner and deepening your love for each other. That is why Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 7:5 warns the husband and his wife not to defraud each other of this conjugal right.

Sex is a right in a marriage relationship but a sin and an abomination in a non-marriage relationship. In 1 Thessalonians 4:3, the Bible says “For this is the will of God, even your sanctification that ye should abstain from fornication.” Ephesians 5:3 also says “But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints.” For the unmarried, sex is a sin before God; it is reserved only for the married. In a marriage relationship, therefore, sex occupies an important part of a marriage relationship, without which, the marriage will crumble. Sex is one of the pillars that hold a marriage. If the pillar is weak, the marriage will be vulnerable to any attack. It is God’s way of cementing the marriage. Sex is a lubricant that keeps the bolts of marriage firm, safe and intact.

It is important, therefore, that we have the normal sexual drive to drive the marriage to a safe harbour because God created us with the ability to have self-control. When your sexual drive is abnormal, the ship of marriage may capsize. It is interesting to note that some people have abnormal powerful sexual drives also known as hypersexuality. What does this mean? Such men or women have an uncontrollable sexual impulses. They are dogs. Although this is common among men, there are some women too whose sexual drives are abnormal. Let us look at some of the characteristics of people with abnormal sexual drives:
A. Such people are never satisfied with sex no matter how often you allow them. Such men can do it with their wives every day; there are some men who don’t mind doing it twice daily. Can you imagine that? How many women can endure this? Some of these women who are victims constantly experience bruises and a lot of discomfort after each sexual act. Hardly can they walk straight without being noticed that something is wrong with them. Such women are often beaten by their husbands if they refuse their uncontrollable sexual overtures. This is a gross abuse of sex. If they are women, their husbands can never satisfy them. The more they do it, the more they will want to do it. Some husbands often run away from home to rest from such nymphomaniac women. Some husbands who want to try and please their wives so that they will not lose them to other men are being advised to use aphrodisiacs to empower them to satisfy their wives. Some of these men have abused the drugs to their destruction. To these people, whether they are men or women, sex is food. Sex is water. Sex is everything. Without it, they cannot live. That is abnormal. Such people are sex maniacs. They are crazy about sex.

B. Such men have no regard for their wives during their red days. They will clean them up and do it. When their wives tell them to wait till their monthly visitor goes away, they are looking for big trouble. Many women know the discomfort that they undergo during their red days, and even some men know this about their wives. Yet, they still want to sleep with them and add more to their pains because they are mad about sex.

C. If their wives are indisposed and it is impossible to ask for it, they switch over to other women around them. Such men have single girls, married and unmarried women that are servicing them since madam is indisposed. Even when madam is well, extra-marital affairs are normal with them. They do it with impunity and their wives are aware of their acts. Some of these wives cannot talk because they know they cannot meet the abnormal sexual desires of such husbands.

D. If the wife is pregnant, the man will keep doing it till after delivery. Some men sleep with their wives shortly after their deliveries. Can you imagine that? Such a man is an animal. He is not concerned about your condition before or after delivery.

E. Such men don’t want family control measures. They want to do it without any inhibition. In such a home, the wife can become pregnant when her baby is three months old. Think about that.

F. Such gynecomaniac men will sleep with your female house helps without having any compunction about it. You will need to take away your grown-up girls from such a senseless and sexually aggressive man or else the man will mess up with them and warn them never to tell anybody. If you are careless with your younger sister, the man will sleep with her.
People with this sexual abnormality are shameless and abusive. There are men who tie their wives down with ropes like goats in order to sleep with them. Some wives have divorced their husbands because of their excessive demands for sex. Some wives regularly sleep with their husbands’ younger brothers when their husbands cannot meet their sexual demands. Of course, some women do it for other reasons.
You cannot marry people having this problem or else:
A. You will be sexually abused regularly.
B. You will be your husband’s sex machine
C. You will be in pain regularly
D. Your husband will bring shame and disgrace to your family.
E. Both of you will be vulnerable to Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD).
F. Either of the partners may die suddenly
G. You will not enjoy the marriage
H. You will have unwanted babies
I. You will have babies born out of wedlock
J. Divorce or separation may be inevitable.
How do you know a brother or a sister that has this sexual abnormality? You don’t have to commit immorality to know him or her. The following tips will help you:
A. Pray and ask God to reveal every hidden thing about the brother or sister to you. It is easier to discover a brother than a sister because sisters can pretend about this.
B. By their fruits, you will know them- Matthew 7:20. If you are in courtship, he will want to sleep with you often.
C. He will like to talk about sexual matters most of the time you are together.
D. He/She will be full of lustful thoughts.
E. She will want to be with you always, hugging and cuddling you.
F. Her voice will always be seductive
G. The eyes will be full of adultery- 2 Peter 2:14.
H. If you cleverly look below his belt, his dick will always be erect each time you are together.
Don’t marry anyone with this abnormality if you want to live and enjoy your marriage. If you have this abnormality, give your life to Jesus Christ and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour. Then, go for a thorough deliverance. The Lord will set you free or else don’t marry. If you marry, you will be a nuisance to everybody and even to yourself because nobody can satisfy your sexual desires.

Welcome again to the February edition of our Singles World for 2022. In this edition, I will be discussing with you the eighth characteristic of those who are not qualified to marry. May the Lord help us in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Don’t Marry an Unforgiving Person
An Unforgiving Person: Outside the marriage relationship, friends offend us and we offend them too. In some cases, we are pained that we often find it difficult to forgive the person. For instance, your friend borrowed money from you and refused to return it till you left school. Again, your trusted friend snatches away your fiancée or your fiancé elopes with another guy without any serious fight or disagreement even when you are busy talking about your wedding plans and age is not really on your side. Your dad too could have rejected you because you gave your life to Jesus Christ instead of following his ancestral god. Your uncle too could have sexually abused you. All these examples could be very hurtful, painful, agonising and tormenting. You could have vowed never to forgive them.

One of the wonders of marriage, if you find the right partner anyway, is that you soon forget all these bitter experiences because you have found a new lover who understands you and who expectedly will lavish you with excess love. Second, marriage will take you far away from these excruciating environments where you have been hurt. You are now out of school. You are free from that bullying senior, cantankerous roommate, randy lecturer, treacherous friend etc. Your marriage is like an escape from these evil acquaintances and compensation for the acts of injustice done to you over the years. You may not even see many of your offenders for life.

Now that you are married, you think offences are over. Wait a minute! Offences have just started. You can run away from those old friends and relations that troubled and provoked you badly but you cannot run away from your spouse. You have sworn to live together till death do you part on for better for worse basis. Not so? Yes! That is it. Somebody said, “Marriage is the Ministry of Offence and you must be a Permanent Secretary in the Department of Forgiveness.” When you are in courtship, you are mad with love. You try as much as possible to forgive and absolve so much insult but in marriage, it is a different ball game. That is why Steve Jobs said “When you are in love wonders happen. But once you get married you wonder what happened.” Andrew Kutto also says “marriage is the only battle in the world where the combatants share a bed.” That is the reality of marriage today.
Offences are unavoidable in a marriage relationship. In Matt. 18:7, Jesus said “for it must needs be that offences come…” If you cannot forgive, marriage is not meant for you. When some people are offended, they vow never to forgive. Some say the matter will only be solved when they get to Heaven. There is no room for such in Heaven. Those who fail to forgive those who offend them will not make Heaven. In Mark 11:26, Jesus said, “But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is heaven forgive your trespasses.” If your sins are not forgiven, you cannot make Heaven. In the family, only God knows how often you will offend your spouse daily. The offences may range from trivial to very serious offences. The two lovers who hardly quarrel during courtship and even when they quarrel they are quick to forgive will soon discover that it is a different atmosphere in marriage.

Some of the offences in the home include but are not limited to the following for which some may not forgive:
Assault and battery: Beating and assaulting your spouse.
When a wife is building a house secretly without telling her husband
When the wife buys a car without telling the husband.
Infidelity. Having side chicks.
When your spouse discovers that you are engaged in fetishism
When you publicly abuse your spouse and his family.
When you leak publicly some secrets that your spouse has shared with you privately.
Betrayal
Defame the character of your spouse/Disparage your spouse.
Tell lies against your spouse.
Attempt to poison your spouse.
Disobedience to the husband.
Abandoning your responsibility in the house: when the husband does not pay school fees or when he does not bother about what the family will eat or when the wife is nonchalant about cooking, cleaning of the house, taking care of the children etc.
Lack of submission to the husband
Lack of love for the wife.
Sexual denial.
Shouting at your spouse.
The list is endless. Only God knows how many times your spouse will offend you in a day. As long as humans relate, there will be offences. Offences abound more in a family relationship because of many factors such as incompatibility, parental interference, economic hardship, third party interference, lack of spirituality, personality issues, demonic attack etc. That is why someone said “No marriage is perfect. Those celebrating 30 years, 40 years, 50 years of togetherness, are celebrating forgiveness, tolerance, ignoring the husband’s stupidity and overlooking the wife’s misbehaviour” or eccentricities.
If you are not ready to be a Permanent Secretary in the Department of Forgiveness in your home, don’t marry then. And if you know any brother or sister who finds it difficult to forgive, don’t marry him or her because the relationship will be tempestuous. When you are living together with a spouse who has refused to forgive your offence of two years ago, your life is not safe. Such a spouse will be carrying bitterness, malice and hatred in his or her heart. Such a person will be looking for an opportunity to revenge.
You will recall a wife who killed her husband recently after both of them had just returned from a trip abroad. We learnt the man was very wealthy. Immediately both of them returned from their overseas trip and the wife learnt that her husband had impregnated another woman, she poisoned him and when the man was battling with the effect of the poison, she ironed his manhood and the man died. Such spousal attacks are common today in society due to a lack of forgiveness. Ephesians 4:32 says “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
It takes maturity, tolerance, patience, spirituality and grace to forgive because some offences can greatly hurt. As Christians, we have to forgive. Unfortunately, when you refuse to forgive, you hurt yourself the more. Your heart is like a dustbin of offences. Just as a dustbin stinks if it is not emptied, you also will be stinking because you have refused to empty the offences stored up in your heart. Marriage is not for you folks!
May the Lord deliver you from this demonic unforgiving spirit. Until you are delivered, keep away from marriage.

THOSE WHO ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO MARRY
Welcome to the August edition of our Singles World. In this edition, I will discuss with you again another person that is not qualified to marry and whom you should not marry. May the Lord give us the heart to understand and to obey in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
4.
Don’t Marry a Difficult Person
Human beings are of different personalities, and you need to understand this very well to guide your relationships in life. The brethren, without any exception, too have their different funny and weird personalities in spite of their salvation experiences. A difficult person is not qualified to marry and you should not marry such a person irrespective of his or her so-called spirituality and paraded measure of grace if you want to enjoy your marriage. In the church, there are difficult brothers and there are difficult sisters. I will now show you some of the characteristics of a difficult person for you to see why you will not able to cope with such a person in a marriage relationship.
A difficult person is self-opinionated: A self-opinionated person stubbornly holds on to his or her opinion and views. A difficult person believes that he or she is always right and that others are wrong even when it is obvious to everybody that he or she is wrong. No matter your level of persuasion, he will never change his opinion which he madly considers to be right. It seems to me that this is a cognitive disorder. When you argue with such a person, you will only succeed in raising your blood pressure. Somebody said that defensiveness is their middle name. They will defend their opinions or views blindly. They are usually happy when they are proved right but unhappy when they are proved wrong. One reason for this again is that such people are lonely; so they allow their thoughts to build up.

However, such people can be very intelligent but they are narrow-minded because they are not ready to share people’s perspectives. That is what makes them difficult. Imagine you trying to convince a mad man that he’s mad, he will never agree or trying to make a sheep talk instead of bleating. It is an effort in futility. Humility demands that you admit that you are wrong when you are wrong. It does not reduce your masculinity or femininity neither does it emasculate nor dehumanise you. Don’t marry such a person either as a husband or as a wife although a calm wife can manage a self-opinionated husband because of the headship position that he occupies. It is more difficult to manage a self-opinionated wife because she is expected naturally to be submissive to her husband. Unfortunately, a self-opinionated woman will never be submissive to her husband. And that is a big problem.
A difficult person criticises others but detests being criticised: A difficult person likes to criticise others but he does not want to be criticised. He quickly spots out people’s mistakes but he does not want his mistakes to be pointed out. When you point it out, it is either he disagrees or quarrels with you over it. This is one of the characteristics of a difficult person. Such a person is not qualified for marriage. Whoever does not want to be corrected has closed up his mind to learning. When you get to a point in life that you are above correction, you are a dead person. A woman that likes to criticise other people but hates being criticised is a bad woman and she does not qualify for marriage. Similarly, a man who does not want anybody to criticise him but enjoys criticising other people will be a terrible husband. When you notice such a person, run away. Such a person will stress and provoke you constantly at home forever. And if you have this trait, keep off from marriage, please.

A difficult person is very fastidious: Another way by which you can identify difficult people is that they are usually difficult to please. They are not open to new ideas. They simply want things done in their own ways. They complain a lot and that is why nobody wants to work with them. For instance, if you cook for them, they may not be satisfied with it not because the food is not good but because they want it done in a particular way. If you go for shopping for them, they will be angry with you about the way you handle the money given to you for shopping. If you set the table for dinner, they will still adjust it to the way that they want. You cannot wash or iron their clothes satisfactorily without quarrelling with you.

It is not as if such people have the spirit of excellence as such but they just want to appear difficult. You cannot sweep or mop the floor to their taste; they will sweep or mop it again. You cannot wash their cars to their tastes; they will complain and wash the cars themselves. Such people are quarrelsome and find it difficult to relate with people. They cannot ignore or overlook minor mistakes or condone little imperfections. Such people are not qualified for marriage because they will stress their partners, their children and those who live with them if any. Such people are usually avoided. Such people find it difficult to acknowledge your assistance and efforts when they assign some duties to you; it is your mistakes that they will first identify and condemn. Avoid such people if you are not married yet.

Unpredictable mood: A difficult person has an unpredictable mood. They can be happy now and sad in the next one hour. They can sleep joyfully and wake up sadly. They can greet you good night with cheerfulness and greet you good morning the following day with gloominess. Their mood swings are worrisome and annoying. Such people have emotional dysfunction. You cannot predict the moods of such people. This is because they are too emotional and over sensitive to issues of life. Women are mostly prone to this although we do have some men that are emotional. Can you imagine you living with somebody whose mood can change to you anytime without any serious explanation? If such people get married, they will be liabilities and great burdens to their spouses. The best is for such not to be married.

Those who are not qualified to marry 2- June’21 edition

THOSE WHO ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO MARRY
In the May edition of our Singles World, I began a new series of teachings on those who are not qualified to get married. In the teaching, I told you not to marry a jobless man unless you want to die young. In this June edition, I will discuss with you another person you should not marry. May the Lord guide us and lead us by His Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Don’t Marry a Woman who is not Ready to Submit to her Husband.
One of the contentions of feminist movements in the modern society is that women must arise and fight for their liberation from the hands of men who use the marriage institution to claim superiority over them. Hence, women must claim equality with men. By implication, modern wives must see themselves as equal to their husbands. Therefore, they must not allow themselves to be caged under the so-called authority of the Bible. So, women clamour for equal rights with men.
While it is not right for the husband to use his position to oppress and abuse his wife, the Bible declares unambiguously in Ephesians 5:22 and says, “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.” The Bible in Basic English says, “Wives, be under the authority of your husbands, as of the Lord.” The Easy-to-Read-Version says “Wives, be willing to serve your husbands the same as the Lord.” In Colossians 3:18, the Amplified Bible says, “Wives, be subject to your husbands [subordinate and adapt yourselves to them], as is right and fitting and your proper duty in the Lord.” So, the duty of a Christian wife in the home is to submit to her husband and obey him for the following reasons:
According to 1Timothy 2:13, “Adam was first formed, then Eve.” The man was first made as the head of the creation before Eve was formed.
Another reason is that the man is the head of the woman- 1 Corinthians 11:3 just as Christ is the head of every man.
According to 1 Corinthians 11:8, the man was not formed or created out of the woman but the woman was formed out of the man.
According 1 Corinthians 11:9, the man was not created for the woman’s sake but the woman was created for the man’s sake. In other words, the woman was created for the benefit of the man; the woman was made to help the man.
This is the order of God in the family and it must be followed- 1 Corinthians 11:3.
It is the will of God for the Christian wives to submit themselves to their own husbands.
The issue of submission has become a touchy issue for some women who claim to be born again. They see submission to the husband as oppressive, foolish and slavish. The Bible was not written by the Association of African or American Husbands. It was written by the Spirit of God. It is therefore dangerous and preposterous to subject it to human interpretation or declare it as obsolete and irrelevant to the modern day Christian women. The basic teaching of the Word of God concerning the marriage institution is that wives should be submissive (obedient) to their own husbands.
According to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, he said, when you obey your husband when it is convenient for you, that is cooperation but if you obey your husband when it is not convenient for you that is submission. I cannot agree more with this great man of God on this. Wives want to obey their husbands only when it is convenient for them. That is not submission. Submission means that you are under the authority of the husband. Therefore, you are to obey your husband. You should be willing to serve him. In Genesis 3:16, God told Eve and by extension to the entire womenfolk and said “And thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” The Living Bible version says, “And he shall be your master.”
The wife is to submit to the leadership of her husband because he is her master. Even Sarah called her husband, Abraham, her lord-1 Peter 3:6. You simply obey your lord and master. That is the position of the Bible on this. Of course, God is not expecting the Christian husband to abuse this privilege by oppressing and suppressing his wife. This should not in any way make a demon or a tyrant out of the man because of this honour.
The Christian wives in the Church today do not want to be under the authority of their husbands because of their education, so-called enlightenment and financial independence. Some of the things that these women say are these:
I want to be free.
I don’t want any man to control me.
I don’t want any man to dictate to me when to travel and when not to travel.
I don’t want any man to tell me which friends I should associate with and which friends I should not associate with.
I want to go out when I like and come back when I like.
I want total freedom.
I don’t want any man to regulate how I spend my money.
Men are domineering.
Let us look at the following:
If you do not want to be under the authority of your husband, please, don’t get married.
If you don’t need your husband’s permission to do anything that you want to do, please, do not get married.
If you want to travel when you like and return when you like without anybody’s permission, please, keep off from marriage.
If you do not want to be obedient to your husband, you are not qualified for marriage.
If you only want to obey your husband when it is convenient for you, marriage is not meant for you.
This rule of submission is one of the basic and key pillars of marriage. Show me a submissive wife, I will show you a peaceful home and a loving husband. Show me a disobedient wife, I will show you an unloving husband as well as a turbulent home.
Men! As soon as you notice that this woman does not believe in this teaching of submission, please, run away from her or else, there will be two husbands in the home. And you know the implications? There will be no peace except you are ready to accept her lack of submission which you will never enjoy. Imagine your wife coming home when she likes, travelling against your instructions, taking her personal decisions without your consent, changing the children’s school without informing you, building her own personal house against your counsel even when you have one under the pretext that she wants to have her personal house without giving you any reason!
Brother, you cannot enjoy such a wife. Keep away from her, please! Don’t marry her for any reason. Don’t let any prophet deceive you that she is the will of God for your life. God cannot give you a woman who will willingly be disobedient to His word. Keep off from her, I say. Such women are not materials for marriage. They will be rottenness in your bones- Proverbs 12:4. If you want to enjoy your marriage and your life to the fullest, don’t marry them. It is my prayer that you will not marry the woman that will kill you. The Lord will help. Amen.

You are welcome to the November edition of our singles world. This edition contains answers to the questions that singles asked on the dreams that they had which were revelations about their relationships and marital lives. Question: Sometimes, I see myself breastfeeding a baby in the dream and I am not married. What is the implication of this?
Answer: If you are breastfeeding a baby in your dream, it is a sign that you have a spirit child. It also implies that you have a spirit husband. The devil may want to deceive you and make you to believe that you don’t have any spirit husband by only allowing you to dream of breasting babies. The devil will also want to deceive you by telling you that the Lord is showing you about your future baby when you get married.
The devil is a bad liar. How did you have the baby without a husband? That you are the one breastfeeding the baby shows that the baby is yours and that you are the mother. The father, who is the spirit husband, is there in your life in the spirit realm. You need to be delivered from this. These are some of the implications of breastfeeding babies in the dream:
It is an indication that you have a spirit husband and spirit children which you are nursing with your breast milk in the dream. The covenant between you and the spirit husband must be broken.

It will hinder you either from getting married or from enjoying your marriage when you get married.

That breast milk that you are giving to the spirit baby is your virtue that the devil is siphoning and draining. The demon is sucking your milk and the best in your body. While the demon is getting fatter and stronger in the spirit realm, you will be getting leaner and leaner. Your virtue is your divine asset from Heaven which you need to excel and fulfil destiny in life. Your virtue is the glory that God endowed you with to shine and tower above others. It is the power of God in your life that the devil is sucking gradually. All he wants to do is to empty your life and make it void and meaningless. God forbid!

The devil can access the woman’s breast with the breastfeeding and attack her with cancer or even pollute the milk so that her physical children can be attacked with sickness and diseases. It is like breastfeeding a demon. Can you imagine yourself breastfeeding a cat or a dog? You can even develop strange diseases. Your milk is for human babies and not for demons. This is the work of the spirit husband. The Lord will set you free.

Question: A friend of mine told me that she saw me in her dream in a wedding gown getting married. Is it a sign that I have a spirit husband or is it just a mere dream?

Answer: If you are not married and you regularly see yourself putting on a wedding gown in the dream, it is not a good sign. It shows that you have a spirit husband. It is either you are already married or about to get married to the spirit husband. Often, you will not see any man but just yourself in a wedding gown because he is a spirit being and again to deceive you and confuse you so that you can believe that the Lord is talking about your future wedding. The Lord is showing you that you have a spirit spouse. Therefore, you need to arise and fight it out or else you may not get married. The devil will try to frustrate your marital life.

However, if you are planning to get married and you dream of seeing yourself in a wedding gown with your fiancé, it may not mean that you have a spirit husband. God may be showing you that your wedding will hold unless God gives you a different meaning. But if it comes up often; it may be that the devil has a hidden agenda concerning your wedding. If it is your friend that has the dream about you, pray about it and ask God to confirm it.

If you are a good Christian and you don’t have such dreams, just prayerfully cancel the dreams and have your peace. But if you also have the same dream seeing yourself in a wedding gown especially when you are not getting married, you will have to pray against the spirit husband in your life or go for deliverance. If not, the devil will attack your marital life with all sorts of problems such as late marriage, broken relationships, marrying the wrong person etc.

Question: I am still single but I sometimes see myself being pregnant in my dream. Is it a sign that I will have children when I get married or is it a bad dream?

Answer: Apart from having sex and breastfeeding in the dream, seeing yourself pregnant, giving birth to babies and carrying babies in the dream are all signs of covenant spirit marriage which must be broken. If you are married and you are praying and trusting God for pregnancy, God can show you or someone in the dream that you are pregnant which may mean you will soon be pregnant. Apart from this, if you are still single and you are pregnant in the dream, you may be battling with a spirit husband.

The child that you are carrying in the dream is an evil child for a spirit husband. This evil pregnancy will hinder your physical marriage and if you ever get married, you may not become pregnant. If you ever become pregnant, you may battle with miscarriage or stillbirths. You will be fruitful in the spirit realm but barren in the physical realm. You must rush for deliverance from this evil marriage covenant with the spirit husband. Your spiritual life, thereafter, must be hot in prayers and fasting.

Please, don’t be worried for you are not alone in this matter. The Lord Jesus Christ is available for your deliverance. Just surrender your life to Him and receive Him as your Lord and Saviour. He will set you free from the bondage of this spirit husband. He will take away all your fears and give you your destiny husband in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Solution:
Study these Scriptures: 1 Cor. 11:2, 2 Cor. 5:17, 2 Cor. 10: 4-5, Ephesians 6:10-18, Philippians 2: 9-11, Isaiah 49: 24-26, Isaiah 54:13-17 and use them to pray.
Salvation: The first thing to do is for you to give your life to Jesus Christ. Without salvation, it will be difficult for you to be set free. Confess your sins to God and ask Him for forgiveness. Turn away from your sins and receive Jesus into your life as your Lord and Saviour.

Deliverance: Go for a thorough deliverance in a Church that has the fire and the genuine anointing of God for deliverance. See the man of God there and let him pray for you. You may be asked to pray and fast for a few days for the deliverance programme. Do that faithfully and obtain your deliverance. Remember, Jesus said in Matthew 17:21 “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”

Holiness: Live a holy life and stay away from sin. If you are living in immoralities such as fornication, adultery, masturbation, lesbianism, uncleanness, nudity, oral sex etc., you have to stop them or else you will not be free from the grip of this spirit wife. Sin opens up our lives for the devil’s invasion but righteousness makes our lives the habitation of the Holy Ghost.

Holy Ghost Baptism: You must be baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Pray often in tongues to develop your spirit man and humiliate the kingdom of darkness. See 1Corinthians 14: 2 and Jude 20.

Prayer and Fasting: Be aggressive in your personal prayer life. Jesus said in Matthew 11:12 “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” The devil will not let you go until you exercise your authority over him by force as a child of God. You can also have personal regular prayer and fasting and vigils until you are completely set free. Even when you are free, you have to continue or else the demon may come back. See Matthew 12:43-45.

Warfare Prayers:

Give thanks to God and worship Him for your salvation and for the victory that you have in Christ Jesus and then pray regularly as follows:

I break every evil covenant made consciously or unconsciously between the spirit wife and me in the name of Jesus Christ.

I command, terminate and dissolve every marriage relationship between the spirit wife and me in the kingdom of darkness in the name of Jesus Christ.

I cancel every demonic flow into my life through my foundation in the name of Jesus Christ and I release myself from every satanic pollution during my conception, through evil dedication and exposure to idolatrous and demonic activities in the name of Jesus Christ.

I command the fire of the Holy Ghost to consume all my spirit children, if any, and I burn my demonic matrimonial home in the kingdom of darkness in the name of Jesus Christ.

Holy Ghost! Let your fire evacuate and consume every evil plantation in my life through sex in the dream and put a permanent separation between the spirit wife and me in the name of Jesus Christ.

Let the fire of God consume all the demonic spirits sent to sleep with me in the dream.

All the good things that the enemies have taken away from me through sex in the dream, Father return them in the name of Jesus Christ.

I reject low sperm, watery sperm, erectile dysfunction, ejaculation difficulties, prostate enlargement and all forms of infertility issues in the name of Jesus Christ.

I reject delay in marriage. I reject broken relationship. I reject disappointment in the name of Jesus Christ.

Father! Turn me into an untouchable and unquenchable fire for the enemies in the name of Jesus Christ.

Father! I give you thanks for answering your prayers.

THE QUESTIONS SINGLES ASK 22
Welcome again to the October edition of our singles world. In this edition, I will continue with the answers to the questions that singles asked on the dreams that they had which were revelations about their relationships and marital lives. In the last edition, I discussed the dream about the spirit husband. In this edition, I will be discussing the dream about the spirit wife. May the Lord shine His light unto our hearts in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Question: I usually have wet dreams. It is like I have had sex with a woman in my dream although I could not recognize her. In real life, I don’t do it and I am worried about it. What can I do, please? I was told that it is a sign that I am mature now to be a man?

Answer: Just as I said in the September edition, sex in the dream is demonic. It is not a sign of physical maturity for you as a man. Rather, it is an indication that you have a spirit wife who comes to sleep with you against your wish. It is a sign that you have a spirit home and most probably spirit children. If you are a child of God, this evil partner has no right to sleep with you against your wish but because there is a marriage covenant between the two of you, which of course may not be known to you, she has free access to enjoy sex with you because you are her spirit husband.

By the law of marriage, the spirit wife has free access to your body anytime. That is why you have sex with her in the dream without any restraint. That you are wet after waking up indicates that copulation has indeed taken place between you and the spirit wife which is a demon.

Similarly, some of the implications of having sex in the dream with a spirit wife are these:

Again, it is an avenue for the devil to strip you of your divine potentials and reduce your destiny to rubbles. The devil takes your shining star from you and gives you a scary scar. Sex in the dream, though pleasurable, gives you pains and endless agonies and untold hardships. The devil uses it to turn your journey of 5 years to a journey of 70 years.

It is an avenue for the devil to prevent you from getting married in life. The devil will ensure that no woman will agree to marry you. No matter how hard you try, it will be difficult for you to get a wife. Why? The devil can make every woman that sees you to hate you. If you are handsome, the devil can project you as an unattractive ugly man. The devil can mask you with the head of an old man and so whenever you talk to any woman, she will be seeing you as an old man whereas you are a promising young man. Also, the devil can replace your head with a woman’s head. When you propose to any woman that you love, she will be seeing a woman standing before her instead of a man. Therefore, she will see your proposal as irritating.

So, you cannot attract any woman to yourself because you appear to all women as a woman too. Whoever agrees to marry you will eventually take your money and run away. It can also lead to late marriage, broken relationship, frustration, depression and even death. There are some good looking guys with good jobs out there today who are more than forty years old but who are still bachelors. That is one of the things that bachelors who have sex in their dreams experience. The aim of the devil is to make your life miserable because he knows that already you have your own wife in the spiritual realm.

In real life, if you are married, can you allow any man to sleep with your wife? The answer is No! The dream shows that you are married to a spiritual wife in the spirit realm. The jealous spirit wife also will not allow any woman to come near you in real life because you are her spirit husband. To this spirit partner, it is like you are committing adultery after getting married to her with legal covenants in the spirit realm.

Your spirit wife can make the home wild and chaotic with regular fighting and misunderstanding. She will mount pressure on your marriage and make it too stressful for both of you till it breaks. Then she will have free access to you her husband. She will not allow any woman to share you with her. It is that serious.

That you are wet shows that there was ejaculation. It means you have deposited your semen, which is your blood, into the spirit wife which is a demon. First, your blood is now in the hands of the devil for any type of manipulation. Your God-given seed has been planted into a demonic wife which is a sign of a blood covenant between the two of you and it is binding unless the Lord delivers you. Remember, whoever has your blood has your life. That is why Leviticus 17:11 says “For the life of the flesh is in the blood.”

Second, the devil can make your sperm weak and watery so that your physical wife will not conceive. Such sperm can take the form of snail water, sugar cane water or ordinary water. That is why laboratory tests will show low sperm count. It can lead to infertility problems, erectile dysfunction, ejaculation difficulties, pains or swelling in the testicular area, infections, prostate enlargement and so on. The devil can reduce the penis to a mere rubber toy. And when there is no conception for many years in a marriage relationship, it can lead to marital disharmony, divorce, adultery, unfaithfulness etc. That is why you must put an end to it before it deteriorates.

Besides, since you are already polluted now, it can also bring pollution into the life of your spouse. Since your blood has been mixed with that of your spirit wife, it will also be transferred into the body of your wife. It can lead to all forms of ailments and marital problems. It can be deadly. It is like when the wrong or an unclean blood is transfused into your body. Medical doctors will try their best in this regard but deliverance is the ultimate if your case is spiritual.

Please, note that when you sleep with the spirit wife in your dream, her female genital organ is not the normal human vagina that we know although it is presented as the natural human vagina. It is a lie. The vagina of the spirit wife can be the mouth of a snake and when you enter into it, it deposits dangerous poisons into your reproductive system that can cause all sorts of gynecological issues like low sperm count, infertility, infections, HIV Aids etc. It can also be the vagina of a chimpanzee, cow, monkey or a dog. Can you imagine a man sleeping with a cow or with a snake? It is a real pollution.

I am glad to inform you that the Lord has made provisions for your healing, cleansing and deliverance if you will give your life to Him and receive Him as your Lord and personal Saviour. The Lord will deliver you from the stronghold of the spirit wife and you will be free totally in the name of Jesus Christ. No more delay. The Lord will give you your destiny wife and your marriage shall be glorious in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Solution:
Study these Scriptures: II Cor. 5:17, 2 Cor. 10: 4-5, Ephesians 6:10-18, Philippians 2: 9-11, Isaiah 49: 24-26, Isaiah 54:13-17 and use them to pray.
Salvation: The first thing to do is for you to give your life to Jesus Christ. Without salvation, it will be difficult for you to be set free. Confess your sins to God and ask Him for forgiveness. Turn away from your sins and receive Jesus into your life as your Lord and Saviour.

Deliverance: Go for a thorough deliverance in a Church that has the fire and the genuine anointing of God for deliverance. See the man of God there and let him pray for you. You may be asked to pray and fast for a few days for the deliverance programme. Do that faithfully and obtain your deliverance. Remember, Jesus said in Matthew 17:21 “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”

Holiness: Live a holy life and stay away from sin. If you are living in immoralities such as fornication, adultery, masturbation, lesbianism, uncleanness, nudity, oral sex etc., you have to stop them or else you will not be free from the grip of this spirit wife. Sin opens up our lives for the devil’s invasion but righteousness makes our lives the habitation of the Holy Ghost.

Holy Ghost Baptism: You must be baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Pray often in tongues to develop your spirit man and humiliate the kingdom of darkness. See 1Corinthians 14: 2 and Jude 20.

Prayer and Fasting: Be aggressive in your personal prayer life. Jesus said in Matthew 11:12 “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” The devil will not let you go until you exercise your authority over him by force as a child of God. You can also have personal regular prayer and fasting and vigils until you are completely set free. Even when you are free, you have to continue or else the demon may come back. See Matthew 12:43-45.

Warfare Prayers:

Give thanks to God and worship Him for your salvation and for the victory that you have in Christ Jesus and then pray regularly as follows:

I break every evil covenant made consciously or unconsciously between the spirit wife and me in the name of Jesus Christ.

I command, terminate and dissolve every marriage relationship between the spirit wife and me in the kingdom of darkness in the name of Jesus Christ.

I cancel every demonic flow into my life through my foundation in the name of Jesus Christ and I release myself from every satanic pollution during my conception, through evil dedication and exposure to idolatrous and demonic activities in the name of Jesus Christ.

I command the fire of the Holy Ghost to consume all my spirit children, if any, and I burn my demonic matrimonial home in the kingdom of darkness in the name of Jesus Christ.

Holy Ghost! Let your fire evacuate and consume every evil plantation in my life through sex in the dream and put a permanent separation between the spirit wife and me in the name of Jesus Christ.

Let the fire of God consume all the demonic spirits sent to sleep with me in the dream.

All the good things that the enemies have taken away from me through sex in the dream, Father return them in the name of Jesus Christ.

I reject low sperm, watery sperm, erectile dysfunction, ejaculation difficulties, prostate enlargement and all forms of infertility issues in the name of Jesus Christ.

I reject delay in marriage. I reject broken relationship. I reject disappointment in the name of Jesus Christ.

Father! Turn me into an untouchable and unquenchable fire for the enemies in the name of Jesus Christ.

Father! I give you thanks for answering your prayers.

THE QUESTIONS SINGLES ASK 20- AUGUST’20 EDITION

I am delighted to welcome you to the August edition of our singles world. In this edition, I will conclude the lies that young people of today believe before going into marriage. May the Lord deliver us from lies and deceptions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Question: What are the lies that young people of today believe before going into marriage?
Answer: One of them is:

G. That there is no marriage in Heaven: Many people hide under this statement to write off marriage. The root of this statement is in St. Luke 20:34-35 when Jesus told the Sadducees and said “And Jesus answering said unto them, the children of this world marry, and are given in marriage but they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage.” Here, Jesus was addressing the Sadducees who did not believe in the resurrection of the dead. To them, when a man is dead, he is dead. There is no future hope for the dead. Jesus compares the two worlds here when he said, “the children of this world marry.” This world refers to this present age where everybody, both Christians and non-Christians, marry. As long as we live on this earth, we will continue to marry except of course you are not called to marry.

So, Jesus said, children who live here on this earth that is in this world marry. This present world is for us to marry and enjoy our marriages. Jesus did not condemn or forbid men from getting married here because it has no relevance in Heaven. But Jesus also talked about that world, which is the new Heaven. We will all have different bodies that are different from our present bodies in this world. That body is not for marriage. Those who make that world do not need marriage for they are equal unto the angels. Just as we go to school and seek for jobs in this present world, in that world, we will not need to go to school or ride cars or look for jobs etc.

Jesus was not in any way saying marriage had no place before God in Heaven. Some folks who are either frustrated with their marriages or they are simply irresponsible hide under this Scripture to behave nonchalantly and irresponsibly to their spouses and children. They wonder why they should continue to invest into their marriages and bother themselves much with marital issues when in Heaven there is no mansion for Mr. and Mrs… and their children. Again, since on the judgement day in Heaven, everyone and not every family is going to give the account of his stewardship, these people wonder why they should be labouring on an earthly marriage that is not recognized in Heaven.

After all, Jesus said labour not for the food that perisheth. If marriage will perish with this world, why then should I be concerned with it? Paul writing to the Colossians said set your affections on the things that are above. Since marriage is earthly, mundane and terrestrial and not heavenly and celestial, there is therefore no need to set any affection on it but to focus on Heavenly things. This erroneous belief makes some spouses not to be committed and dedicated to their marriages.

Men who share this view are not usually good husbands. Such men are grossly irresponsible. They will not pay the school fees of their children either will they bother whether there is food in the house or not. They barely have time to spend with their families; they are more comfortable with the companies of their friends outside. If such men are ministers of God, they will be married to their ministries at the detriment of their marriages. Their wives will never enjoy their marriages and their children may never have that fatherly touch.

Similarly, women who share this view will be over spiritual that they will not have time for their husbands. Sex to them will be seen as sinful as discussed in the July edition. They will starve their husbands of sex and spend more time in spiritual exercises like praying, fasting and meditation, which in most cases, will make them stay alone. Alone with God is their mantra. That Mount Zion Film titled Busy but Guilty says it all. Some of them may also not have time for their children. They can live and die inside the church. Their pastors will like them because they are always available for God’s ‘service.’

And if such women have ministerial callings, they will abandon their husbands to start their ministries whether or not the husbands are in support. The ministry to such women is more important than their homes. They believe they will give the account of their ministerial assignments to God rather than the account of their marriages which they believe will end here on the earth. Maybe that is why today we see many women standing alone without their husbands in the ministry.

While it is true that there is no marriage in Heaven, those who are married should, therefore, not abandon their earthly conjugal responsibilities. There are no university degrees in Heaven, yet people still pursue these on earth diligently. If you abandon your responsibilities as a student, you will fail. There is no politics in Heaven, yet people can die because of politics on earth. If you abandon your electoral and political responsibilities, you cannot go far in politics. You can go to hell, if you are fraudulent in obtaining your degrees on earth and you fail to repent. You can go to hell if you are a wicked politician and you refuse to repent. Your work on earth can determine where you will spend eternity. If you are an unfaithful husband or a treacherous wife, you will give account in heaven.

In Matthew 19:6, Jesus said “What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” If you put asunder what God has joined together, you cannot go unpunished. Hebrews 13:4 says “Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” If you defile your marriage bed with immorality, you will be judged. Your activities in your marriage on earth are being recorded in heaven. So, heaven is concerned about the life you live in all areas on earth. If God is not concerned about your marital responsibilities, He will not bother Himself asking the husband to love His wife and asking the wife to be submissive to her husband: Ephesians 5:22-25. If marriage means nothing to God, He will not be asking the children to obey their parents in Ephesians 6:1.

If your attitude on earth can determine your place in eternity, it is then reasonable to behave well and perform all your earthly responsibilities faithfully. If on the account that there is no marriage in Heaven you are not committed to it, then, don’t get married. And if you get married, be faithful to your oaths of marriage or else you are worse than an infidel. There is no marriage in heaven, but you are enjoying the heaven in your marriage and you are not committed to it. This is not right!
Please, don’t be deceived.

Prayers

Every embargo that the kingdom of darkness has placed upon your marriage, I command it to be lifted in the name of Jesus Christ. I command every barrier that the enemies have put upon your marital life and relationships to be dissolved by fire in the name of Jesus. I remove every hindrance placed on your way to marital fulfilment in the name of Jesus Christ. I remove every limitation that the enemies have placed upon your marital life in the name of Jesus Christ. Every demonic cloud that is standing against your marital fulfilment be removed in the name of Jesus Christ. Every ancient cloud that is covering your glory and preventing it from breaking forth be removed now in the name of Jesus Christ. As the stone of the Jews could not hinder Jesus Christ from rising from the grave and appearing in Galilee to His disciples, no power of darkness will succeed in hindering you from getting married to your destined spouse in the name of Jesus Christ. I command your marital life to receive supernatural breakthrough. I decree in the name of Jesus Christ that is above every other name, you will be married joyfully. You will be fulfilled. Today, I connect you to your destined spouse and it shall be permanent in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen.
