Wooohoo!!!!!! Happy Independence Day to Nigerians and happy new month from The Olive Branch. We are very excited because we just passed our first professional exam and the journey to our success wasn’t an easy one. We would talk about it in later posts but this is a very short thank you message to everyone who supported us in prayers and calls and every other way and also an independence message to Nigerians.
Firstly, we would like to thank God for his grace. God has been so faithful and even though this ride hasn’t been easy, Jesus stood with us throughout never letting us go.
We would also like to thank our parents and family for the endless love and support. We wouldn’t be here without them. We want to thank our friends, too numerous to mention for their support and prayers. God bless you all. Our lecturers too deserve a thank you for their training and also their support.
Now, today is Nigeria’s independence and I have been thinking a lot about the direction Nigeria is headed and I know a lot of people might not agree with me but we have different opinions. Before something can become good, it must go through a lot before it can be worth it. I have basically been reading since this year began and I mean serious studying and it wasn’t easy. Giving up a lot of things just to pass my exams and now that’s it’s over; it feels like I didn’t even go through anything. What I’m trying to say is that, you can’t expect Nigeria to become great again just like that without a lot of hitches and stress. We have a long way to go and it’s still going to be better. When it’s all over, we wouldn’t even remember all the problems we went through. Just don’t give up on this country. Whatever country you are from, please try to make it better. Do all you can and be proud of where you come from. The storm will soon pass.
Try and make a good impact wherever you are and think of how you are really contributing to the good in the world. Enjoy this new month and the rest of the year!
