Introspection and words for the year.
Happy new year dear readers!!! I’m literally screaming at the top of my voice just to wish you a happy new year and prosperous one ahead. Come to think of this, seriously yesterday was last year today is new year and tomorrow is next year, Lol. I was just trying to be funny. There is the movie I always watch whenever its new year’s eve. You can guess the name already:New years eve(2011). I could not watch it this time because my laptop refused to come on (so sad) but that’s by the way. New year’s eve is a movie that touches me every time I watch it . It just shows how people reconciled before the year went to an end, some reflections on some peoples part, some people found their true love at that time , some pending miracles happened that day. Reflections all round, and then a popular song:” Auld Lang syne”was sung at the end of the movie and it translates from an old Scottish dialect meaning old long ago and it’s about love and friendship in times past. In case you are trying to remember, this is a the first line of the song:”should old acquaintance be forgot or never brought to mind”. These entirely got me thinking and reflecting on my life and thanking those who made 2016 worthwhile for me. Sincerely speaking 2017 has started and it’s going to roll by again just like the ways other years have rolled by. I just thought I should share what we were told in church today with you, because it spoke to me personally too. We should take stock of our lives in the past one year and then look at our expectations and ahead. If we were to score ourselves last year on so many things like in faithfulness, loyalty, devotion to family, diligence, holiness, commitment to God’s work, academic achievements etc. what would be our score? Do we even have any reason to give thanks to God for his faithfulness last year? Lam 3:22 says ‘it is of the Lords mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not’. We should also look at our pitfalls. What were those things that brought us down in some ways? Looking at our academics careers and business are we making progress or depreciating. Is your CGPA soaring or nose diving? Is your business progressing? What was responsible for your poor performance in 2016? Why did your relationship end with a bad break up? Was it Laziness, bad company, lack of seriousness, lack of dedication, poor reading habits, sin etc. are you going to tackle them frontally this year? What was responsible for your good performance? Are you resting on your oars? Are you going to ensure you are the best this year?
What are you expectations and resolutions for this New Year?

Seek the Lord with all your heart cause with this many good things will come your way.
God will teach you how to make profit and lead you in the way to go… Isaiah 48:17-19.
Obey God always and you will have good results. Do his will not your self will. Your prosperity/profit is attached to Gods w
Then the Lord will help you in everything you do…Isaiah 50:7.
When God has helped you, give him praise from time to time. At the nick of time you will see him intervening in your situation.
