The goal came after a Cahill shot was cannoned over to Cesar Dave who cushioned in a low cross with Batshuayi’s sliding effort slipping through Fosters palms. Only his second goal in the Premier league but an all important goal it was.
CARDIFF HOSTS THE OLD LADY AND THE BLANCOS
After making it past Monaco on a 4-1 aggregate with goals from Mandzukic and a sumptuous cross from Dani Alves, Alves also sealed the win with a wonderful volley to make the scores 2-0 . Even after Mbappe was able to score past Buffon with a deft tap in from close range to make it , The Old Lady had a daunting task against Real Madrid who also went past Atletico Madrid with a 2-1 loss. An early goal from flamboyant Saul who glanced in an excellent header from a corner kick and a Griezmann penalty almost made things look tough but a moment of magic from Karim Benzema put things in Isco’s way to tap in an all important goal to take Real through to the finals. The last time they both faced in a final, Real Madrid went on to win 1-0 to claim the trophy, but with Madrid still favorites, do well not to rule out Juventus. After an hard fought draw a the Old Trafford, Manchester United who got past unlucky Celta Vigo whose strikers lost a lot of golden chances especially at death from former Manchester City player John. They would now lock horns with Netherland giants Ajax who clearly dispatched Lyon 5-4 on aggregate. Eric Baily would miss out on the finals due to a red card gotten against Celta Vigo.

GOLDEN BOOT RACE FOR THE PREMIER LEAGUE HEATS UP
