Good day everyone! Tonight’s post is quite different because we are starting a new column called SINGLE’S WORLD and we are so excited. The person that will be anchoring this column is Pastor Jide Ajidahun(the name might ring some bells). He is someone very special to us and actually has a lot of wisdom to offer on issues concerning relationships and living a single life. We intend to post on the last friday of every month starting from February. This column is a path to self discovery and also a journey to eternal happiness. The encounter that Hannah had with the Lord in I Samuel transformed her from a barren woman to a joyful mother of children. The encounter that Prophet Isaiah had with the Lord in Isaiah 6 made him discover how wretched and poor he was even though he was a prophet of God. We can talk about Paul. As he encountered Jesus on his way to Damascus to unleash terror on the Christians, he was transformed from a monstrous murderer to a gargantuan preacher of the Gospel.
History records till today, that Paul remains the greatest and the most contagious of all the Apostles. An encounter with Jesus is an encounter with destiny and fulfilment. He will help you to discover your purpose in life. He will also release grace and the strength that you need to be fulfilled in life. Joseph would not have fulfilled his vision and dreams in life if he had not known the Lord and kept His Word. He made up his mind to serve the Lord to the end. Potiphar’s wife could not deter him. Pleasure of sin could not hinder him. This is because “the Lord was with Joseph and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour…”- Genesis 39:21. Joseph could have been killed and his dream could have been forgotten.
How many of our singles today have gone without fulfilling their dreams? How many have missed their goals in life? How many destinies have been sold today to the devil through the deceitfulness of sin? You are not for sale. You must arise therefore and locate your place in destiny and fulfill it. The devil does not like you. He does not want you to fulfill your destiny but he cannot stop you unless you allow him. And you must not give him a chance. This is your time. Give God the opportunity to help you discover yourself as you yield your life to Him in absolute surrender by doing His will. God’s Word in your world will form a wall of fire and of grace and thus make your world a ward of power and of fulfilment.
