“Hell is empty and all the devils are here”
I didn’t know the origin. Each night, sitting up on my bed and waiting. The house would be silent as everyone was asleep but in the silence. There was noise.
I was just a scared little child. My brother would taunt me in the morning. And I believed it. I was little and I was scared of something that was there.
The room became colder all of a sudden and I didn’t want to open my eyes. I closed them tighter and used my blankie to cover my head. My skin started tingling but I still didn’t move. I started praying in my mind. Reciting all the prayers my mum taught us every night.
Angel of God,
my guardian dear,
To whom God’s love
commits me here,
Ever this day,
be at my side,
To light and guard,
Rule and guide.
Amen.
“Timmy Timmy ” the voice was whispering but i still didn’t shake. I continued my prayer and was counting down to when I would jump down from my bed and run to my parent’s room.
Slowly, my blanket started moving from my body. It felt something was creeping over me. That was when i knew it was time. I had watched too many horror movies to let this go any further.
I jumped down and started running to my parent’s room. Before I got to there, my mum was out already. “what is it Timmy?” she looked scared and my dad was right behind her.
“th-th-there’s something in my room” i stammered but I couldn’t bring myself to move anymore. I looked down as my dad took my hand and led me there.
“it’s okay Timmy, we are right behind you” my mum reassured. As we entered the room, it was still exactly how I left it. My dad switched on the lights and my mum gasped.
There were large footsteps on the white rug and the walls were stained with mud. She quickly dragged me closer to her. My dad closed the doors and led us to the kitchen before going upstairs to get my Older brother and sister. We were all in the kitchen and my dad picked up the phone to dial 911. Then the lights suddenly went off. “Jules, Luke come closer please” my mum whispered as she held the three of us close to her. My dad left to check on the backup generator. I knew something bad was about to happen.
“mum what’s happening?” my sister Jules whispered to my mum but before she could answer, my dad walked in and the power was back on. The police still wasn’t here yet and I started to feel they weren’t even called in the first place.
“MUM!!!” I heard my brother scream and looked up. My mum was on the floor with blood gushing out of her mouth and her white nightie soaked with blood. My dad was holding a knife and he started cackling.
“Timmy Timmy. You can’t run from me” I started running towards the basement to hide. Jules and my brother Luke were no where to be found. “I am everywhere Timothy, every single place you can possibly imagine”. Tears were running down my cheeks as I continued running.
“Timothy! Timothy !” it was my mother’s voice. Then my eyes opened. I was sweating profusely and had to reassure my self it was a dream. I needed to sleep again but the room became colder all of a sudden.
“Timmy Timmy”…
