Happy Thanksgiving! Hope we aren’t late? we don’t really celebrate Thanksgiving here in Nigeria but we are thankful everyday for everything. We have a new post today celebrating women and we just couldn’t ignore this feature from Gabe-Oji De klerk. He wrote the poem for the sole purpose of describing, complimenting, and appreciating the proverbs 31 woman-The virtuous woman. To let women know how priceless they are when they have God( his own words). Please enjoy this post and share it. Try and let the words sink in.
Who can truly find a worthy woman?
Far above rubies is her price
Incomparable to the gold of Egypt or the treasures in Solomon’s mines that be or rise
Knowing the sweet gospel of her creation; adoring the essence of her beauty and graces.
You are the lady of glorious youth and life, blossoming without strife;
Of whom your measurement in scales cannot be valued;
Or your concern for ungodly men cannot be hewn or glued.
You are that woman befitting, that lady amazing.
Learning the art and wisdom of your maker
Being betrothed to him. Your first love and Father.
Transformed to the image he desires; the graceful woman he requires.
Preparing you for the journey that is to come;
Showing you the path of bliss, decorating your heart with joyful ease,
Relaxing your soul in the gentle waters of the Spirit, welling up to everlasting life.
Becoming that woman befitting; the fair lady amazing.
Let the Men praise you at the gates of the city.
Let them say: Come, pray tell; let us sing a song to express the graces of womanhood,
Let us write poems for the virtuous, hymns for the invaluable;
Of the priceless treasures of heaven of whom all men with eyes stood,
Beholding the helpmeets of the kingdom, made for the joys of the home inevitable.
And you are a lady of beauty, poise and elegance
A woman on the run to become an awesome-adorable glance;
Set on the pedestal of a queen, by the Most High king of which
In due time; He’ll give to you the prince of his heart
To be your one true blood and part. Oh! What a beautiful matrimonial start.
Let no one despise the age of your youth and life,
Leave room for no one to measure of you; a standard of no value at all.
For in the sight of your heavenly Sire, you are far worth the treasures of the world.
For silver and gold, rubies and gem, cannot equal what he has called.
You are Woman. Wonderfully-Orchestrated; Made-Adorably-Nicely.
For the woman befitting, the good lady amazing.
